Meet Ashito Aoi. Young footballer, with an ego the size of Mount Everest.

The series, Ao Ashi, revolves around him and his arrogant persona. Well, justifiably so, because he's very talented.

Ashito, hot headed and immature, needed a rude awakening, and who better to give him that than a coach? Tatsuya Fukuda invites the young lad to the Tokyo Esperion Youth Academy, where he gradually strains the pride out of the young talent progressively across the series, handling the kid with an iron fist and forcing him to push his limits and compete with the best.

Initially, it seems to Ashito that Coach Fukuda’s strictness is purely out of spite for him, but with time and a better understanding of football’s tenets— teamwork, discipline and tactical genius —he soon understands the importance of humility as a professional, and even as a human being.

And so, with a well cultivated attitude and sharpened football skills, there's only one direction Ashito can go now.

Let's just say that Tatsuya is the fathee figure Ashito never knew he needed.

This series is not just one of interest. It's a cluster of lessons that every person can apply to daily living.
