We are in the throes of the second quarter of 2026. The year’s moving pretty fast, isn’t it? We hope you are firing away to your goals and ambitions, but what’s life without anime?
To that effect, we must keep you posted on everything that is happening, from new releases to big announcements. Here are some of the latest happenings from the animeverse over the weekend.
CRUNCHYROLL CELEBRATES THE LEGACY OF ANIME’S GREATEST SOLDIER.
Today is fictional character Eren Yeager’s birthday. Cheers to all the inspiring moments and to his pivotal role in Attack on Titan. Pay your respects to him by watching your favorite AOT episode(s) today and if you haven’t seen him in action before, there couldn’t be a more perfect time to do so than now.
COMING SOON: WITCH HAT ATELIER.
The production team for Witch Hat Atelier have announced that the series is complete and ready for release. The show is thirteen episodes long and will be released next week, on April 6, 2026. First two episodes will stream on Crunchyroll on the aforementioned date.
GOLDEN ENDING?
An official update has been put out stating that Golden Kamuy will start its final arc “Runaway Train” this winter. It is believed that a curtain will be drawn on the show after this. This message signals an imminent end to a remarkable era. All previously released episodes still remain streaming on Crunchyroll.
NEW ARRIVAL: YOWAYOWA SENSEI.
New TV anime Yowayowa Sensei debuts on April 11, 2026. It is listed with 12 episodes, which will be released on a weekly basis.
REMINDER: DROPS OF GOD.
As earlier reported, a new twenty four episode The Drops of God is scheduled for release on April 10, 2026. The production of this series is by Studio Satelight and it is directed by Kenji Itoso.
NEW ARRIVAL: GO FOR IT.
New comedy TV anime series Go for it, Nakamura! will be released on April fool’s day, with the first two episodes first released on streaming platforms and just one via TV broadcast. The series contains a total of thirteen episodes and is produced by Studio Drive.
NEW ANNOUNCEMENT.
You and I are polar opposites Season 2 is coming to your screens on July 5, 2026. An official trailer has been released on youtube and you can access it via the line below;
The twelfth and final episode of Season 1 aired yesterday.
NEW TV BROADCAST.
Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture is scheduled for TV broadcast this July. All 12 episodes are available on Disney+ and Hulu.
KYOTO ANIMATIONS ANNOUNCE A NEW SHOW.
Sparks of Tomorrow, produced by Kyoto Animations will be released on Netflix this July. Four additional cast— Suzu Harashima, Kate Okura, Yajiro Yagura and Izo Masubuchi —have been announced in new trailer on Youtube, which you can watch via this link;
NEW RELEASES.
The Warrior Princess and the Barbaric King will be released on April 9, 2026. A new preview has been released on Youtube, accessible via this link;
It will stream on Crunchyroll with English dubs avaliable.
THE INVINCIBLE SAMURAI RETURNS.
BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai is returning to Netflix soon with a second cour.
