MUSASHI: UNDERRATED OR NOT?
By Marka Gbane • 1/20/2026

Musashi.
Growing up on a farm, he couldn’t have learnt more about life anywhere else.
He learnt strength and resilience. He learnt humility. He mastered the art of calculated thinking.
If you’ve been following, you’d notice that this is consistent only amongst leaders and that is exactly what Musashi became.
A seasoned leader.
Musashi is the leader of the Body Improvement club at Salt Middle School. He’s not your average middle schooler, though. His unreal strength and stamina makes up for the reason he’s in his position.
He welcomes main character Shigeo Kageyama into his club with open arms, creating an atmosphere of collective growth and a good relationship. They go on to grow closer and stronger, as Musashi becomes one of Shigeo’s most loyal friends and biggest supporting acts, putting his life on the line to save Mob even when he was possessed by Dimple.
Musashi believes in following the rules. He defines the lines that he wouldn’t cross, and he keeps these principles unfailingly.
In a world where the lines between good and bad are blurred, he’s the perfect beacon of uprightness.
Personally, I think his humble way of life is the major reason he’s underrated in the show.
Do you think so too?
