SHOW REVIEW: DEATH PARADE.

Picture this;

Souls, dead, arrive at a bar, oblivious to the fact that they are no longer in touch with life. They play games, with the bartender assuming the role of umpire.

I give you Death Parade.

A 12-episode anime that triggers a whole new fantasy in the balance between life and death.

Pairs of souls place the biggest stakes of their existence, with Decim, a stoic being with no experience of life whatsoever and Chiyuki, a human assistant, presiding over it all.

Unknown to these souls, the games are fashioned to reveal their flaws and determine whether they'll be reincarnated or go into the void.

A detective and his brother, both oblivious to their blood relationship in their just concluded life. A manager and his stepson. A wife and her husband.

Battling it out on the board with their souls on the line.

Death Parade underlines what anime is all about. Fresh, riveting plots, littered all round with cliffhangers and climax moments.

All of this in just twelve episodes.

It's definitely worth a watch.
