TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE— BANG.

Today's trip down memory lane recounts the iconic season finale scene of Cowboy Bebop where Spike Spiegel, wounded across the chest from a katana attack has to fight his arch nemesis Vicious, atop the Syndicate Skyscraper.

Blood soaked clothes, a loose touch with reality, and barely any strength left, Spike’s mind is a storm. Thinking of all the magical moments he shared with Julia and his now estranged friend, Vicious.

Surrounded and doomed to the mercy of his rival, Spike raised his hand, likened to a gun, “cocks” it, lifts it to the sky and lets out a smirk— somewhat defeated —whilst saying the word “BANG” barely above a whisper.

The lackeys that have him cornered all stare, faced painted with expressions as complex as jigsaw puzzles, and just as the scene is about to tap into its climax, the episode ends.
